Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13/01/2026

1) Summary

Tools Quickly provides browser-based tools that help you process files quickly, such as PDF compression, image conversion, password generation, and format conversion.

We prioritize:

  • Local-first processing to minimize sending files to servers
  • Data minimization
  • Protecting your privacy
  • Transparency about how the service works, including cookies and advertising technologies

Note: This policy explains how we handle data when you use Tools Quickly and its tools. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using the service.

2) Files you process

2.1 Core principles

  • We do not sell your files.
  • For the current tools, files are processed on your device/in your browser (Local-first).
  • We generally do not require an account to use the basic tools.

Recommendation: Avoid processing highly sensitive documents (e.g., identity documents, medical records, financial data), especially on shared/public devices or in browsers with untrusted extensions.

2.2 Processing mode

Processing mode: Local-first (in-browser processing)

  • Your file does not need to be uploaded to our servers to perform the processing (compress/convert/etc.)
  • The output file is generated on your device

2.3 Future exceptions (if introduced)

In the future, some features may require server-side processing or third-party APIs (for example, external data like exchange rates/weather, or specialized processing requirements). If that happens, we will:

  • Clearly label that tool page ("How it works / Privacy")
  • Update this policy (and change the Effective date)

3) Data we collect

We may collect a small amount of technical information to operate the website reliably, maintain security, and improve performance.

3.1 Technical data

This may include:

  • Basic logs: access time, pages visited, response status (success/error), page load time, error codes
  • Technical metadata: browser type/version, operating system, language, user-agent, approximate display parameters
  • Network/security signals: IP address (or partial IP) for spam/abuse prevention, fraud detection, and security monitoring

We aim to keep logs minimal and retain them only as needed.

3.2 Sensitive data

  • We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (health, financial, ID documents, religion, political views, private life, etc.) through our tools.
  • However, your files may contain sensitive data. You should consider the risks before processing such files.

3.3 When you contact support

If you email or message us, we may receive:

  • Your email address and message content
  • Any additional information you provide, such as screenshots, bug details, or device/browser information

This information is used solely to respond and provide support.

4) Cookies & Advertising

4.1 Cookies on the website

The website may use cookies or similar storage technologies to:

  • Remember basic preferences (if applicable)
  • Improve stability and performance
  • Support security and abuse prevention

You can manage cookies through your browser settings (block/delete cookies). Note that blocking cookies may affect certain site experiences.

4.2 Advertising (Google AdSense) — Live

Tools Quickly displays ads via Google AdSense and potentially other third-party advertising partners.

These third-party vendors (including Google) may use:

  • Cookies
  • Web beacons
  • Or similar identifiers

Purposes for this include:

  • Serving ads
  • Measuring ad performance
  • Limiting how often you see the same ad (frequency capping)
  • Preventing fraud and abuse
  • Delivering personalized or non-personalized ads, depending on your settings and applicable law

4.3 Controls for personalized advertising

When ads are enabled, you can limit/manage cookies or ad personalization by:

  • Adjusting cookie settings in your browser (block/delete cookies)
  • Using "Do Not Track" (if your browser supports it)
  • Using ad personalization controls provided by advertising vendors (where available)

5) Analytics

If Tools Quickly uses analytics (now or in the future), aggregated metrics may be collected, such as:

  • Page views
  • Performance metrics (load times)
  • Error rate

We do not use analytics to personally identify you unless we clearly disclose it and/or obtain valid consent where required by law.

6) Data retention

6.1 Your files

Because our tools operate in Local-first mode, we generally do not store your files on our servers for processing.

6.2 System logs

We may retain technical logs for a reasonable period to:

  • Maintain security
  • Investigate errors and improve service quality
  • Prevent fraud and abuse

We aim to keep logs minimal and retain them only for as long as necessary.

7) Security

We use reasonable measures to protect data, which may include:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
  • Access controls
  • Monitoring and abuse prevention

However:

  • No transmission or storage method is 100% secure.
  • You should keep your browser updated and avoid untrusted extensions, especially when processing sensitive files.

8) Children's privacy

This service is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect children's data. If you believe a child has provided data to us, please contact us so we can address it.
